Craig,
Congratulations on finally getting that much deserved diploma. May all your days be filled with light from those watching over you. This post touched me personally because I too feel that there is a group of loved ones guiding me on my journey to a better life. I have been homeless, faced addiction, and abuse. Today I am about a year away from being where you are right now. In my darkest hour I cried out for someone to help save my life. A feeling of warmth and peace touched me in a way that is difficult to explain to most people, but anyone who has experienced an awakening knows what I speak of. Since that night I have been on a mission of greatness. I am in love with life, enjoying every moment after releasing years of resentment and sorrow. I am clean and now am a substance abuse counselor earning a degree in psychology. I never gave up on my dreams because in my soul I knew there was a greater purpose for me.
Thank you for sharing such an intimate part of your life, and know that there are people all over the world rooting for you. God bless and Best of Luck to you!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Your story is inspiring!

Thanks for sharing it. It was what I needed to read this morning as I'm working on my final paper of the semester today for Liberty, and struggling greatly.

Craig, I found your blog through Liberty's website. I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. I also have a degree, TODAY! because of Liberty University Online. I was part of the way through a degree program when I and my children ended up homeless. A residential program would never have worked for me while I tried to get back on my feet and back into a position to provide housing for my family. Because of having children, I always had a roof over my head, of sorts. Two different states, two different friends and two different shelters later, I finally got back into my own apartment. During that year of being without a home base, I also spent hours anywhere with Wi-Fi working on assignments and spent crazy hours reading in strange places and at strange times.

I am soooo proud of you for pursuing your dream in spite of everything looking "too hard". Thank you for sharing your story.

And congratulations! YOU DID IT!
